Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Council are looking to recruit an experienced Electrician to support the delivery of various works programmes within Asset Management.
You will have a flexible approach to managing varied workloads as you will be required to carry out all associated Electrical tasks within new build, refurbishment and maintenance works.
You will be time-served with trade qualifications SVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds within your relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate sound practical technical competencies in delivering high quality of workmanship in all aspects of your trade. You should display experience of working within both commercial and domestic properties within the construction industry.
You should demonstrate a commitment to the principals of customer care, while displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working to targets and pre-determined timescales along with an awareness of health and safety in the workplace
Requirements
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
