Job Description

This post is part time, term time, the salary will be pro-rata to the hours worked.

This post is fixed term until 03/01/2027

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9.30am - 1.00pm
  • Friday 9.30am - 12.45pm
  • or the hours can be agreed with the Head Teacher to meet the needs of the centre.

West Dunbartonshire Council are delighted to offer the opportunity to highly motivated applicants who have a passion for working with children.

This post is peripatetic, and successful applicant may be relocated to a different centre at any time, based on service needs.

Applicants are required to be registered with, and maintain registration with, the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Support Worker in Day Care of Children’s Services within 3 months of appointment.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
