Type: Permanent, Part Time

The Opportunity

Role Overview:

Based at James Dykes Funeral Service - Newmilns, our Funeral Arrangers are a very special part of our team; caring and organised they offer a warm welcome, and guide our families through the whole funeral process. They couple their incredible interpersonal and listening skills, with an eye for detail and accurate administrative skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Support families in making funeral arrangements.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide a detailed handover to the Funeral Director.
  • Participate in a rota system (1 week in 5) to cover duties such as removals within normal business hours and out of hours.
  • Bring the deceased into the company's care from locations such as private homes, care homes, hospitals, and scenes of accidents.
  • Show respect towards families and awareness of their different religious or cultural practices.
  • The on-call covers most of Glasgow, again possibility of going out of this area.
