Job Title: Validation Engineer

Location: Field Based (South of England)

Terms: Permanent

Salary: £26,500 to £35,000 per annum based on a 40-hour week, subject to experience

As we continue to grow, we are looking to add another Validation Engineer to our team. As a Validation Engineer, you'll be on the front lines, working on diverse and challenging projects that truly make a difference. This isn't your average desk job – it's a chance to get hands-on with the inner workings of the life science industry and become a vital part of ensuring patient safety.

Your Day-to-Day Duties Will Include:

  • Creating high-quality protocols that form the bedrock of our testing deliverables.
  • Being involved in the exciting process of bringing new equipment online and expertly managing the transition of existing systems.
  • Qualifying a myriad of different equipment and systems, such as autoclaves, depyrogenation ovens and other temperature-controlled equipment.
  • Analysing test results with precision, comparing them against rigorous industry standards and client specifications.
  • Collaborating with and supporting our experienced team and specialists.
  • Engaging in continuous training and development to expand your experience across the many facets of validation.
  • Playing a key role in BPV's ongoing projects and contributing to our reputation for excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience using dataloggers for thermal mapping. Confident calibrating test sensors and positioning them.
  • At least one years’ experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing or equivalent within engineering, validation and/or quality roles.
  • Knowledge of quality management such as Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices.
  • A full driving license.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Good time management.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Clean of illegal drug use.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of the areas, we work, it is a requirement that all personnel ensure they are clean and hygienic.
  • Comfortable traveling within the UK and EU and working away from home for extended periods of time.

Additional Experience:

  • Performing full validation lifecycle testing on large autoclaves and/or deprogenation ovens/tunnels. Including all IQ/OQ/PQ requirements and the ability to troubleshoot issues which arise during testing. Working to applicable national and international regulations.
  • Creating test protocols and advising on other ancillary documents, such as user requirements specifications etc.
  • A degree in a relevant field such as chemical, mechanical, or biomedical engineering, as well as computer science and core laboratory sciences such as biotechnology or chemistry.
