Test & Validation Engineer

Location: Stafford
Contract: 12 months (likely to extend)
Rate: £46.96 per hour – Inside IR35
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30 | Friday 08:00–13:00

We are looking for an experienced Validation Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation on a 12-month contract. You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end verification and validation activities, analysing test data and supporting product development, reliability and performance.

  • Plan and deliver validation and verification activities.
  • Develop validation plans, test procedures and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct engine/product performance and robustness testing.
  • Analyse test data and identify issues and trends.
  • Lead failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
  • Produce technical reports and present engineering findings.
  • Work closely with design, test and wider engineering teams.

Key Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in validation, verification, testing or development engineering.
  • Experience within automotive, engine, industrial, aerospace or power generation environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with validation plans, test data analysis and root-cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
  • Experience with FMEA / DVP&R desirable.
  • Knowledge of engine validation, instrumentation or data acquisition systems desirable.
