Role Description
This is a full-time Valuation Surveyor role based in Birmingham, offered on a hybrid working model that combines office-based work with some work from home. The Valuation Surveyor will prepare and deliver robust property valuations and reports across a range of asset types and sectors, following relevant professional standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting properties, gathering market data, analysing comparable evidence, and applying appropriate valuation methodologies. The role involves liaising with clients to clarify instructions, discuss findings, and present clear, well-structured advice that supports their decision-making. The Valuation Surveyor will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, contribute to business development activities, and maintain accurate records and documentation to support quality and compliance.

Qualifications

- Strong technical valuation skills, including property inspections, market research, data analysis, and application of standard valuation methodologies.
- Knowledge of UK real estate markets, with the ability to interpret market trends and comparable evidence across different sectors and geographies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports and present complex information in an accessible way.
- Effective client relationship skills, with a client-focused mindset, professional judgment, and the ability to work in partnership with clients.
- Collaborative working style, with the ability to contribute to team goals, share knowledge, and support colleagues across projects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as RICS accreditation (or progress toward it) and a degree in Real Estate, Property, or a related discipline.
- Confidence in using valuation and property databases, office productivity software, and digital tools to support analysis and reporting.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and staying up to date with professional standards and regulatory developments.
