We are looking for an experienced Valuations Manager with a strong track record in residential property sales, a deep understanding of the local market, and a proven ability to win new business.
This is a key role within the team, with responsibility for driving valuations, winning instructions, and growing market share. You will be confident meeting with vendors, providing accurate and well-researched market appraisals, and building lasting relationships that turn valuations into successful instructions.
You’ll be commercially driven, highly organised, and confident working in a competitive market, with the communication skills and local knowledge to position the business as the agent of choice.
Key Responsibilities

- Win New Business: Proactively identify new opportunities, including targeting properties currently listed with competitors and developing relationships with local homeowners.
- Deliver Expert Valuations: Conduct accurate, well-researched property valuations, providing vendors with clear and credible advice on pricing and market positioning.
- Build Client Relationships: Develop strong, long-term relationships with vendors and buyers through regular communication, exceptional service, and a proactive approach.
- Market Knowledge: Stay ahead of local market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends, using this knowledge to advise clients on pricing and marketing strategies.
- Maximise Opportunities: Identify opportunities to increase market share and convert valuations into instructions through effective follow-up and negotiation.
- Team Collaboration: Play an active role in daily morning meetings, sharing intelligence on new and competitor stock, and helping the wider team maximise opportunities.
- Training & Development: Support the development of the team by sharing market knowledge, best practice, and ideas for innovative training initiatives.
- Follow-Up: Ensure all valuation, viewing, and business development opportunities are followed up promptly and effectively.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
