Job Summary
The Valuation Team (Real Estate) is recruiting at Assistant Manager level. The team provides valuation advice across a broad range of real estate assets and sectors, supporting UK and international clients for financial reporting, transaction support, fund reporting, purchase price allocations, disputes, and portfolio valuation purposes. We work across commercial, industrial, retail, hospitality, and operational real estate assets, delivering high-quality advice.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake and review valuations of investment, owner-occupied, and operational real estate assets for a range of purposes, including financial reporting, transaction support, and fund reporting.
- Analyse property-specific, market, and economic data to support valuation conclusions.
- Build and review valuation models, including discounted cash flow, income capitalisation, and depreciated replacement cost models.
- Manage day-to-day client interactions and attend client meetings.
- Plan, coordinate, and review the work of junior team members.
- Identify key valuation issues, formulate appropriate valuation approaches, and communicate findings clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to building client relationships across the real estate market.
- Assist in maintaining quality and risk management procedures in line with professional and regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:
- MRICS qualification and Register Valuer Status (or eligibility to obtain Register Valuer status) is essential.
- Proven experience undertaking real estate valuations across one or more asset classes (trading property valuation experience particularly sought including hospitality assets).
- Strong understanding of RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book) and valuation governance requirements.
- Experience of income capitalisation, discounted cash flow, comparable evidence, and other recognised real estate valuation methodologies.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Demonstrate project management experience and ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of UK real estate markets.
- Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
