Stowmarket – Value-Added Services (VAS) Supervisor

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual to lead our rework and value-added services operations at Stowmarket. As VAS Supervisor, you will excel as a strategic leader, ensuring operational excellence, high-quality standards, and exceptional customer service—Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:30.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the VAS Manager, your role will include:

  • Leading and motivating a team of operatives to deliver daily operational targets efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitoring and improving productivity, performance, and quality, identifying efficiency gains and workflow optimisations.
  • Training and onboarding staff, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), customer requirements, and health & safety protocols.
  • Building strong customer relationships through transparent communication of project updates, service levels, and performance.
  • Overseeing quality control processes, including sample approvals and thorough inspections, to comply with customer specifications.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records, stock control, and workplace organisation to the highest standards.
  • Resolving operational issues promptly, balancing workloads, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will be:

✅ A seasoned operations supervisor with proven experience in fast-paced warehouse, logistics, or 3PL environments.

✅ Confident in leading and motivating diverse teams while maintaining high performance and productivity outcomes.

✅ Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) with strong computer skills.

Highly desirable: Previous experience in contract logistics or 3PL operations.
