Acting as the Central PMO Lead
Acting as the central PMO lead, this position brings structure, visibility, and accountability across complex, multi-workstream programmes. Working closely with project teams, senior leaders, transformation stakeholders, and external partners, the role supports the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure, automation, and technology-enabled change from planning and procurement through to implementation, operational handover, and continuous improvement.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will bring proven PMO, project coordination, or programme support experience gained within large-scale logistics, supply chain, automation, or transformation environments. Strong planning, governance, and reporting skills are essential, alongside advanced Microsoft Project and Excel capabilities. This role would suit someone who is highly organized, analytical, and confident managing multiple priorities, producing executive-level reporting, and engaging stakeholders at all levels. Experience across end-to-end project lifecycles, Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, and the use of collaboration and AI-enabled tools to drive efficiency will be highly valued. A PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent qualification is required.
Location and Travel
NB: The role will be based from one of our Logistics hubs, Bradford, Castle Donington, Welham Green, or our Waterside Support Centre, dependent on the successful candidate’s location. This role will involve regular travel to sites across the country.
What You’ll Do
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Own and maintain integrated project plans, coordinating schedules, milestones, and dependencies across multiple workstreams to ensure successful delivery of complex logistics and transformation programmes
- Drive governance excellence, managing RAID, change control, reporting, and programme controls while ensuring adherence to PMO frameworks, delivery standards, and stage-gate processes
- Provide clear performance insight to senior stakeholders through executive-ready dashboards, reporting packs, and analysis that support decision-making, risk management, and delivery assurance
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners, maintaining alignment across technology, operations, suppliers, contractors, and vendors to manage interdependencies and keep delivery on track
- Support programme delivery from concept to operational handover, tracking actions, budgets, risks, milestones, and key deliverables to drive accountability, maintain momentum, and ensure successful outcomes

Who You Are
Your skills and experience will include:
- Demonstratable experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes within logistics, supply chain, retail, automation, or systems implementation environments, with strong PMO, governance, and project coordination expertise
- Advanced Microsoft Project and Excel skills, including project planning, dependency management, critical path analysis, reporting, data analysis, and tracker management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels while delivering accurate, insightful, and executive-ready reporting
- Experience managing complex, multi-workstream projects, coordinating dependencies, risks, issues, and interdependencies across diverse stakeholder groups in fast-paced environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience using digital collaboration tools and AI-enabled solutions to improve reporting, governance, and delivery efficiency.
