Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Driver to join a well established company based in Pershore. This position has potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
The role will involve completing deliveries across England. You will drive a range of vehicles, from Mercedes Sprinter vans up to 3.5-tonne Luton vans fitted with tail lifts.
Duties Will Include
- Completing up to six deliveries per day
- Driving safely to locations throughout England
- Operating Sprinter and 3.5-tonne Luton vans
- Using a tail lift when loading and unloading deliveries
- Carrying out vehicle checks before setting off
- Completing all relevant delivery paperwork
- Providing a professional service to customers
- Ensuring goods arrive safely and on time

Working Hours
The standard working hours are:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:45am–5:00pm
- Friday: 7:45am–1:00pm
Candidates must be flexible, as working times will change depending on delivery locations, customer requirements and traffic conditions. Earlier starts and later finishes are very common, particularly when completing longer-distance deliveries.

Requirements
- Previous van-driving experience
- A full, clean UK driving licence. No points accepted.
- Must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes
- Comfortable completing long-distance deliveries
- Flexible regarding start and finish times
- Reliable, punctual and customer-focused
- Minimum of 12 months driving vans.
- Multi drop experience preferred
- A reasonable level of fitness to carry out deliveries.
Pay
- £13.52 per hour
- PAYE only, holiday pay accrued
- Option for weekly or monthly pay
