Driver Hire Edinburgh City are looking for experienced and reliable Van Drivers to join our team and support a variety of well-established clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
Whether you’re looking for regular work, extra shifts or something that fits around your existing commitments, we have a range of flexible opportunities available.
🚚 The Role
As a Van Driver, you could be working on a variety of delivery and collection assignments, including:
- Driving a 3.5T van safely and responsibly
- Completing local and regional deliveries and collections
- Delivering to residential and commercial customers
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Completing multi-drop deliveries depending on the assignment
- Working independently or alongside a Driver’s Mate
- Following planned routes and delivery schedules
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Providing professional and friendly customer service
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time

💷 Pay Rates
PAYE
- £13.00 per hour
- £17.32 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £14.57 per hour
- £19.42 per hour after 8 hours
🕒 What We Can Offer
- Flexible ad-hoc and ongoing work
- Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
- Weekly pay
- Overtime opportunities available
- Holiday pay accrued unless PAYE Advanced is selected
- A variety of assignments to suit your availability

✅ What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous van driving experience essential
- Maximum of 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD, DG or IN endorsements
- Comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Flexible and available to work different shifts
