Van Driver

Howdens is recruiting a Van Driver to join our team at Howdens Worksurfaces, our solid surface manufacturing site in Normanton, Wakefield. As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for delivering finished products safely and efficiently to our customers, helping to ensure exceptional service standards are maintained. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting our continued growth while representing the Howdens brand on the road and providing a first-class customer experience.

Location: Normanton

Contract Type: Full-Time – Permanent

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday | Days | 45 hours per week

Salary: £41,429.93 per annum

What will you be doing as a Van Driver:

  • Safely load, check, secure and deliver bespoke worktop products to customer locations across the UK
  • Carry out daily vehicle inspections and maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness
  • Provide a professional, courteous and customer-focused service at every delivery point
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures
  • Support the wider transport and operations teams with additional duties as required
  • Complete all delivery documentation accurately and efficiently

  • A full UK driving licence held for at least one year and be able to drive a 3.5T van
  • Previous delivery experience
  • Excellent knowledge of driver regulations/WTD
  • Have excellent geographical knowledge
  • Flexible in approach to working times and hours
