£14.36 per hour | Ongoing Work | Immediate Start
Driver Hire are recruiting for a Cat B Van Driver / Vehicle Preparation Operative to join a busy vehicle hire company in Derby.
This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on and is looking for more than just driving work. Your duties will include vehicle cleaning, vehicle checks, van driving and potentially delivering and collecting vehicles.
The Role
Your Day-to-day Duties May Include
- 🚐 Driving vans and other vehicles as required
- 🚗 Delivering and collecting vehicles from customers and other locations
- 🧽 Cleaning and preparing vehicles ready for hire
- 🔍 Carrying out visual and physical vehicle checks
- Reporting any damage or issues with vehicles
- Moving vehicles around the site safely
- Ensuring vehicles are presented to a high standard
- Supporting the wider team with general yard duties

What We’re Looking For
- Full UK Cat B driving licence
- Good driving experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable carrying out physical work
- Professional and customer-focused attitude
- Previous experience in vehicle rental, delivery, valeting or a similar environment is advantageous but not essential

Hours & Pay
- 💷 £14.36 per hour
- ⏰ 7:00am start
- 📍 Derby
- 📅 Ongoing work available
You will need to arrive at 6:45am for a 7:00am induction on your first day.
Dress Code & PPE
You Must Arrive In Clean, Suitable Workwear
- Black work trousers
- Protective/safety shoes
- Plain black top
- No sports tops or joggers
