Driver Hire Edinburgh City are recruiting experienced and reliable Van Drivers to support a variety of established clients across East Lothian!
Whether you’re looking for regular work, extra shifts or something to fit around your existing commitments, we have opportunities to suit your availability.
🚚 The Role
As a Van Driver, you’ll be working on a variety of delivery and collection assignments across East Lothian and the surrounding areas.
Your Duties May Include
- Driving a 3.5T van safely and responsibly.
- Completing local and regional deliveries and collections.
- Delivering to residential and commercial customers.
- Loading and unloading goods where required.
- Completing multi-drop deliveries depending on the assignment.
- Working independently or alongside a Driver’s Mate.
- Following planned routes and delivery schedules.
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
- Providing friendly and professional customer service.

💷 Pay Rates
PAYE
- Standard hourly rate: £13.00
- Overtime after 8 hours: £17.32
PAYE Advanced
- Standard hourly rate: £14.57
- Overtime after 8 hours: £19.42

✅ What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous van driving experience essential.
- Maximum of 9 penalty points.
- No DD, DR, CD, DG or IN endorsements.
- Comfortable with manual handling.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work different shifts.
