Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Van Driver role based in Tipton. The Van Driver will be responsible for collecting, transporting, and delivering parcels and light freight across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Daily tasks include conducting pre-journey vehicle checks, loading and securing goods, following route plans and delivery schedules, and completing delivery documentation or electronic tracking. The role involves maintaining communication with the transport office, adhering to road safety regulations, and representing the company professionally at customer sites. The Van Driver may also assist with basic vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Qualifications

- Valid UK driving licence suitable for van operations, with a strong record of safe and responsible driving.
- Experience in multi-drop parcel delivery or light freight transport, including route planning and time management.
- Ability to handle physical aspects of the role, such as lifting, carrying, and securing parcels safely.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with a professional approach at delivery and collection points.
- Basic knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle checks, including identifying and reporting faults.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently while following company procedures.
- Comfort using delivery scanning devices or basic digital tools for tracking and reporting.
- Previous experience in logistics, transport, or courier services is advantageous but not essential.
