The Role

Driver Hire Bridgwater & Taunton are currently recruiting reliable and customer-focused van drivers to support a busy home store delivery operation based in Bridgwater.

The role involves delivering home goods to customers across the local area. Drivers must be flexible and able to cover both the morning and afternoon shift patterns on different days of the week.

Typical Duties Will Include

  • Completing vehicle checks before starting your shift.
  • Delivering home goods safely and professionally.
  • Providing excellent customer service at each delivery.
  • Handling goods carefully when loading and unloading.
  • Following planned delivery routes and schedules.
  • Completing any required delivery paperwork.

Shift Times

The Available Shift Patterns Are

  • 06:30 start
  • 15:30 start
  • Approximately 7 hours per shift

Applicants must be able to cover both shift patterns on different days, depending on the client’s requirements.

What We Offer

  • £13.00 per hour.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Be aged 25 or over due to vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Hold a full UK Category B driving licence.
  • Be able to cover both 06:30 and 15:30 starts on different days.
  • Be reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Be physically comfortable handling home goods.
  • Have a customer-focused approach.
  • Have previous commercial van-driving or delivery experience, ideally.
