About the role:
The Lanes Group needs a Van Pack Engineer to join our Operational Team in Derby working with a well-established team that are looking to expand further with another strong member of staff.
Location: Derby
Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
Salary: up to £14 per hour depending on experience

As a Van Pack Operator, you will be:
- Attending to customers, informing them of works due to be carried out and answering any concerns
- Inspecting drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow
- Reporting all findings/data to the appropriate teams
- Assisting with all aspects of high-pressure water jetting
- Operating high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems
- Adjusting pressure levels based on the condition of the system and the nature of the blockage (e.g., grease, debris, or tree roots)
- Using the equipment to remove waste materials and prevent build-up in drains and sewer lines
- Competent in using an electronic device - laptop/tablet for data entry purposes
- Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
- Performing routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order
- Assisting with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers

Experience and Qualifications: (Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)
- Full UK driving license (Required) with no more than 6 points
- Water Jetting Association Red or blue book
- Banksman
- Manual Handling
- Emergency First Aid
- NRSWA
- EUSR National Water Hygiene
- Medium risk confined space
