About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to have a pivotal role within the South East Wales Vascular Network. The role is based at the University Hospital of Wales, but covers Vascular services across South East Wales including Cwm Taff, Aneurin Bevan, South Powys and Cardiff and Vale.
Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Programme Coordinator to be a single point of contact for the network across multiple professional groups and other hospital sites.
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential and the role also requires the ability to work both independently and with others to inspire trust and confidence.
Knowledge of working in the NHS environment and the use of multiple IT systems is essential. The ability to work across organisational boundaries is an advantage to this post.
The Vascular Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of Vascular Services across South East Wales. The post holder will work closely with the Network Vascular Manager, Service Leads, Service Managers and Lead Clinicians to provide comprehensive data management to support national audit and support the service development of the Vascular Network. Therefore, having good knowledge of data systems and being able to manipulate data to produce reports will be a key skill.

The post holder will have considerable freedom to act in respect of managing the programme locally, and will work independently and lead on a number of initiatives supporting the programme, including to support clinical research and promoting the benefits of the network. The Network Clinical Lead and Vascular Surgeons will provide the coordinator with support for all clinical matters. The Network Co-ordinator will liaise with Vascular Interventional Radiologist, Radiographers and Vascular Scientists to organise vascular imaging and day case angioplasty.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
