Imperial Vascular Unit Vascular Nurse Specialist

Imperial Vascular Unit is looking for a pro-active and highly motivated senior nurse, with experience in vascular nursing, who is interested in joining our Vascular Nurse Specialist team. The role encompasses autonomous clinical patient reviews within both the nurse-led clinics and inpatient services, and co-ordination of patient focused pathways to ensure appropriate and timely patient management.

The Vascular Unit at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is a well-established and world renowned vascular unit, and St. Mary’s Hospital is the arterial centre for the Trust, and Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. In addition we play an important role within the North West London vascular network, and accept tertiary referrals from across the UK. The expertise of the Vascular Nurse Specialist service is essential to the delivery of a high quality, evidence-based and efficient service, ensuring a great patient experience for vascular patients across North West London.

We are seeking an innovative and dynamic senior nurse who is interested in making a difference to the care of patients with vascular disease. Experience of caring for patients with vascular disease is essential, and experience or an interest in change management and quality improvement would be an advantage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
