Tax & Treasury Recruitment have been engaged by a fast-growing multinational business to find a Senior VAT Analyst for their in-house tax team.

You will be joining a high-performing tax function that is expanding to support the company’s ongoing growth across the UK, US, EMEA, and APAC regions.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious indirect tax professional to take project ownership, influence system evolution, and become a recognised internal subject matter expert.

Your role

  • Own the review and submission of VAT returns across UK, EMEA, and APAC jurisdictions.
  • Manage and implement new international VAT registrations.
  • Deliver commercial, real-time VAT advice to sales, finance, and operational teams.
  • Identify and drive process improvements across VAT and EC Sales reporting.
  • Optimise the newly integrated automated indirect tax ERP solution.
  • Prepare the business for upcoming European e-invoicing and digital compliance mandates.
  • Collaborate with external advisory teams on complex cross-border VAT matters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About you

  • You will have a strong foundation in UK VAT principles, combined with excellent communication skills to effectively train and advise non-tax stakeholders.
  • Your experience can come from either an in-house environment or a top-tier practice, and a recognised qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or ICAS) is required.
  • While international VAT experience is advantageous, the hiring manager places the highest value on learning agility, curiosity, and the drive to take ownership.
