This is an excellent opportunity for a senior manager or director aspiring to be partner to join a very successful tax team with an engaged but untapped client base to cultivate. You will receive complete autonomy to build your own VAT practice with full support from a National VAT team while you do this.

Day to day duties

  • Oversee all VAT advice provided to clients in a vibrant region while also feeding in to National initiatives.
  • Take the lead on managing and building client relationships with Azets clients with responsibility for developing relationships on key clients.
  • Deliver excellent client service
  • Oversee the day-to-day welfare and development of your team to support individuals to reach their full potential and ensure all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • You’ll be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of client needs currently and in the future.
  • You will take the lead on cross service line delivery on own client base.
  • You will drive revenue growth across existing and new service offerings and therefore demonstrate broad business thinking and sound commercial judgement in order to add value

What are we looking for?

  • You’ll be self-starter with a passion for developing people and serving clients and colleagues.
  • You’ll ideally be CTA qualified or be timed served in an established VAT practice.
  • You will have deep understanding of VAT issues, and knowledge of the indirect tax landscape affecting International Trade.
  • You’ll be able to explain complex VAT matters in Plain English.
  • You will have a track record of developing long term relationships with clients, contacts and referrers.
