A growing Top 30 accountancy firm is looking for a VAT Manager to join its expanding VAT team, providing a combination of VAT compliance, advisory, and strategic support to a diverse portfolio of corporate and SME clients.
The Role
- Manage and deliver high-quality VAT advisory and compliance services.
- Advise clients on complex VAT matters, including cross-border transactions, VAT planning, and risk management.
- Provide technical VAT support to Partners and senior management.
- Act as a key client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Support the leadership and development of the wider VAT team.
- Review work and mentor junior team members, supporting their progression.
- Identify business development and cross-selling opportunities.
- Keep up to date with changes in UK VAT legislation and HMRC guidance, communicating relevant developments to clients and colleagues.

Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent qualification, with significant VAT advisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of UK VAT legislation, including cross-border and sector-specific issues.
- Proven experience managing VAT advisory projects and a portfolio of clients.
- Experience advising large corporates and/or SMEs, ideally across sectors such as Financial Services or Real Estate.
- Strong client relationship management and business development skills.
- Experience managing, developing, and mentoring junior staff.
- Excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills.
