VAT Manager (Fully Remote)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced VAT professional to join a global business in a predominantly advisory-focused role. Working as part of an international tax function, you will take ownership of UK VAT matters while supporting wider indirect tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing UK VAT advisory support to the business and wider stakeholder groups.
- Reviewing and maintaining existing partial exemption methodologies.
- Managing direct attribution processes and reviewing/signing off VAT returns.
- Explaining complex VAT matters to non-tax stakeholders in a clear and practical way.
- Supporting international indirect tax obligations and projects.
- Working closely with overseas teams and external advisers on VAT-related matters.
- Assisting with compliance activities when required, particularly during peak periods or unforeseen circumstances.

About You
To be successful, you will have:
- A strong UK VAT advisory background.
- Experience of partial exemption, direct attribution, and VAT return review/sign-off.
- The ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax and senior business stakeholders.
- Exposure to international indirect tax matters.
Broader tax exposure, including corporation tax, would be viewed positively and offers an excellent development opportunity, although corporation tax compliance is outsourced.
