Key Responsibilities
- Review UK and international VAT/GST returns, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide practical VAT advice on business initiatives, transactions and strategic projects.
- Manage partial exemption calculations and oversee PESM processes.
- Support tax technology, automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Partner closely with finance, operations and business teams as a trusted VAT advisor.
- Assist with HMRC queries, audits and VAT risk management.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the ongoing development of the wider tax function.
About You
- Strong VAT experience gained within Financial Services.
- Excellent technical knowledge of UK VAT, with exposure to international indirect taxes beneficial.
- CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the business.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach to problem-solving.
