Role Overview
Managing all aspects of VAT compliance, reporting, and payment in all jurisdictions.
Managing real-time reporting requirements.
Identifying / converting tax-saving opportunities.
Assisting business strategy by providing tax forecasting and analysis.
Responsibilities

Primary VAT Lead for the Group:
- Preparation and finalisation of approximately 15 VAT returns across all countries.
- Either submitting VAT returns or providing them to advisors to submit (dependent on the country).

Real-Time Reporting Requirements:
- Managing real-time reporting requirements, e.g., SII in Spain.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations:

Responding to Evolving Business Strategy:
- Providing tax support, ideas, and analysis.

Advisor Collaboration:
- Working with advisors in all territories as appropriate and managing/controlling department costs.

Business Understanding:
- Understanding the business and identifying tax risks and opportunities.

Process Improvement:
- Mapping and improving in-house processes, including automation.

Tax Forecasting:
- Forecasting tax exposures.

Liaising with Tax Authorities:
- Including on enquiries and any tax-saving reclaims identified.

- Maintenance of UK tax risk register re VAT items.

Construction Industry Scheme:
- Preparation, finalisation, and submission of the Construction Industry Scheme.

PLC Reporting Requirements Experience:
Desired Experience
- Experience in some/all of the non-UK jurisdictions is desirable, but not essential.
