VAT Manager
A Top 10 professional services firm based in London is seeking a VAT Manager to join its growing Indirect Tax team.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a portfolio of financial services businesses including financial services businesses, large corporates, owner-managed businesses, and international groups, while playing an important role in the continued growth and development of the VAT practice.
The Role:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of VAT clients, delivering high-quality VAT advisory services.
- Advise clients on a range of indirect tax matters, including VAT structuring, risk management, partial exemption, VAT compliance, and transaction support.
- Review VAT returns and technical advice prepared by junior team members, ensuring a high standard of technical accuracy and client service.
- Support Partners and Directors on complex advisory projects and significant client matters.
- Contribute to the training, coaching, and development of junior staff.
- Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact for day-to-day VAT queries and wider indirect tax matters.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client service and support broader practice growth.

About You:
- ACA, CTA and/or ATT qualified, or an indirect tax specialist with strong VAT experience.
- A solid technical foundation in UK VAT, with experience advising a range of clients and sectors.
- Experience advising financial services clients, or a strong interest in developing expertise within the sector, would be advantageous.
- Comfortable managing your own client portfolio in a professional services environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex VAT matters clearly and commercially.
- Proactive, organised, and interested in contributing to business development and internal initiatives.
- Able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues and work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
