A leading international professional services firm is seeking to appoint a VAT Compliance Manager to join its growing indirect tax team. With a strong presence across the UK and overseas markets, the firm supports a broad range of clients and is recognised for delivering high-quality tax, audit, and advisory services. Your new role

You will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of UK, European, and international VAT compliance engagements, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of indirect tax filings. Acting as a key point of contact for clients, you will build strong relationships while gaining a detailed understanding of their business operations and VAT obligations.

Alongside overseeing compliance processes, you will:

  • Review VAT returns
  • Provide technical guidance
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Support the development of junior team members

This role offers significant exposure to international VAT matters and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of a successful compliance function.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong VAT compliance experience gained within practice or industry.
  • Good understanding of UK and international indirect tax reporting requirements.
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality compliance services.
  • Enthusiasm for improving processes through technology and automation.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with experience using Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Previous experience reviewing work and mentoring junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
