About the Role
The firm’s UK VAT team has seen consistent growth and success, and they are looking for a VAT Manager to join their Horsham office. This role involves working closely with VAT unit partners and local office partners to provide expert VAT advice to a diverse range of clients.
As a senior VAT resource in the office, you will also have line management responsibilities for a pre-manager level VAT specialist and support from a national VAT unit. This position offers the potential for career progression, with the opportunity to move into a director or even partnership role for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide VAT advice on corporate matters across a variety of industries.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships, becoming a key advisor to the firm’s portfolio of clients.
- Offer technical VAT support to other service lines within the firm, such as outsourced tax and accounting services.
- Lead efforts in marketing and business development, helping to raise the profile of the firm’s VAT services both regionally and nationally.
- Manage and develop junior staff, with the potential for further recruitment as the VAT business expands.

Requirements
- Experienced UK VAT generalist with strong technical knowledge of corporate VAT matters.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Marketing and business development experience to promote VAT services and the firm's reputation.
- Strong people development and leadership skills, including managing junior staff and fostering their growth.
- Experience across a diverse portfolio including property, construction, retail, manufacturing, and tech & media would be beneficial.
