VCT Fund Accountant
Location: London
Department: Funds Finance
About the Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, values-led investment manager running a diversified range of strategies for both retail and institutional investors, spanning private credit, social housing, clean energy, and venture capital. The business manages a multi-billion-pound portfolio and has built a genuinely strong reputation in the market, recognised externally for both its investment performance and its culture, including accreditation as a certified B Corp and recent recognition as one of the best places to work in its sector.
This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative, growing finance function at a business that takes real pride in doing things the right way, for its investors, its people, and the wider world.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership within the Equity & Listed Vehicles team, the VCT Fund Accountant will take ownership of day-to-day finance across a mixed portfolio including a Venture Capital Trust, an energy investment strategy, and a social housing platform. The role covers accurate financial reporting, cash and liquidity management, financial control, statutory compliance, and Board reporting, working closely with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisers, and internal stakeholders across the investment lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
