Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Vehicle Body Repair & Paint Technician role based in the United Kingdom. The technician will assess vehicle body damage, prepare repair plans, and carry out tasks such as panel beating, dent repair, filler work, sanding, priming, and refinishing. Daily responsibilities include mixing and matching paint, operating spray equipment, masking and protecting vehicle surfaces, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet safety and appearance standards. The role also involves working with colleagues to schedule repairs, maintain workshop cleanliness, follow health and safety procedures, and communicate clearly with supervisors about job status and parts or materials needed. The technician is expected to maintain consistent workmanship, meet deadlines, and support a positive, respectful work environment.

- Experience in vehicle body repair, including panel beating, dent removal, filler application, and structural or cosmetic repairs.
- Practical skills in paint preparation and refinishing, such as sanding, priming, paint mixing and matching, and spray painting.
- Knowledge of automotive materials and tools, including body repair equipment, sanding tools, spray guns, and safety gear.
- Understanding of workshop health and safety practices, including safe handling of chemicals, personal protective equipment use, and compliance with local regulations.
- Ability to read and follow repair estimates, job cards, and technical instructions, with strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate work with colleagues and maintain professional interactions with customers and suppliers.
- Previous experience in an automotive body shop or similar environment; vocational training or certification in vehicle body repair or refinishing is advantageous.
- Capability to work on-site full time in the United Kingdom, manage physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods, and adapt to varying workloads.
