Contract: Inside IR35 (6 Month Contract)
Role Summary
The Vehicle Configuration Administrator will support the Vehicle Configuration Team in delivering accurate bespoke vehicle specifications through established configuration processes. Reporting directly to the Vehicle Configuration Manager, the Vehicle Configuration Administrator will translate customer requirements into detailed project specifications while ensuring accurate data management, process adherence and documentation control.
The role will also focus on identifying repeatable activities and supporting the implementation of practical templates, spreadsheet tools, workflow improvements and simple automation solutions to improve efficiency, consistency and accuracy across the configuration process.
Role & Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Vehicle Configuration Team to translate customer requirements into detailed project specifications.
- Support administration activities relating to enquiries and change management.
- Maintain accurate and complete SAP data in line with agreed processes.
- Generate standard parts templates, configuration trackers and repeatable data structures.
- Support the development of spreadsheet tools, data checks and workflow improvements to reduce manual effort.
- Maintain and improve process documentation, ensuring ownership and handover points remain clear and current.
- Capture and analyse process data to identify trends, bottlenecks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement activities.
- Contribute to improved right-first-time delivery, accuracy and process efficiency.

Requirements Of The Role
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to build structured trackers, use formulas and improve data presentation.
- Experience working within a professional environment.
- Comfortable working with technical documents, data accuracy and process-led activities.
- Ability to review existing processes and identify practical improvements.
- Experience with SAP would be advantageous.
- Experience creating templates, trackers, dashboards or automated Excel checks would be desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to identify more efficient ways of working.
