What You'll Be Doing
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA), you'll be responsible for producing accurate repair assessments and acting as a key point of contact between customers, insurers and operational teams. Your expertise will ensure repairs are correctly scoped, costed and managed throughout the repair process, helping to deliver excellent customer outcomes and efficient workshop performance.

- Producing accurate and comprehensive repair estimates using Audatex.
- Assessing vehicle damage and identifying all repair requirements to ensure repairs are correctly costed and authorised.
- Managing repair estimates throughout the repair lifecycle, updating costs and repair methods where required.
- Utilising E-Scribe and other company systems effectively to document assessments and maintain accurate records.
- Understanding and applying customer and insurer requirements, service level agreements and repair standards.
- Liaising professionally with customers, insurers, engineers and internal teams throughout the repair process.
- Communicating effectively with Production Managers, Technicians and Parts Teams to support efficient workflow and minimise delays.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and customer service.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, industry standards and manufacturer repair methods where applicable.
- Taking pride in delivering high standards of accuracy, professionalism and customer care.
About You
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Damage Assessor who thrives in a fast-paced accident repair environment and takes pride in delivering accurate assessments and excellent customer service.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, Estimator or similar role within an accident repair centre or bodyshop environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Audatex and repair estimating processes.
- Experience using E-Scribe or similar insurer management systems.
- A sound understanding of vehicle construction, repair methods and accident repair processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, insurers and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple repair files effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- High levels of attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
- A full UK driving licence.
