Workshop / Vehicle Development Technicians – Basildon, Essex

We are currently recruiting experienced Workshop / Vehicle Development Technicians to support tractor development and testing for a leading agricultural vehicle manufacturer based in Basildon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, modify and maintain development tractors
  • Remove, install and modify driveline and powertrain components
  • Support vehicle testing and engineering activities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
  • Complete technical reports and document test results
  • Work closely with test engineers while following health & safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical fitting or vehicle technician experience
  • Experience with driveline, transmission or powertrain systems
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read technical documentation and complete reports
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Good level of spoken and written English

Desirable:

  • Agricultural, commercial vehicle, HGV, construction equipment or off-highway machinery experience
  • Prototype/development workshop experience
  • CANalyzer/CANcase or vehicle instrumentation experience

Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 07:00–16:00
  • Friday: 07:00–12:00
  • Overtime and Saturday work available depending on workload.
