Role Profile - Vehicle Dismantling Technician
Purpose: This role is responsible for recycling, and safely removing, key parts from a wide range of vehicles, from Corsa’s to high value and performance vehicles for second hand resale within a highly skilled team. The main purpose of the role will be to identify and remove selected parts in a purpose-built workshop with state-of-the-art equipment. The parts will need to be quality checked and removed in a safe and specific manner, in line with company timelines and processes.
Location: Poole Site, BH12
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)
Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
Reporting to: Vehicle Dismantling Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Applying dismantling safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- End of Life Vehicle Dismantling
- Removing quality required parts
- Extracting and sorting the different recyclable materials
- Working on a purpose-built dismantling ramp with specialist equipment
- Removal of; Doors, Panels, Internal and external components, suspension and powertrain, dashboard and airbags
- Sort waste materials into recycling streams
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in all areas
- Ensure daily targets are met
Experience & Essential Qualities:
- Teamwork
- Communication skills
- Mechanical qualifications (preferably to level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics or similar) and/or work experience
- Own tools essential
- Problem solving skills
- Understand and follow documented procedures & drawings
- Work in a safe, structured, methodical & tidy manner
- Operate battery / powered tooling
- Knowledge of the techniques used for dismantling and use of power tools
