Coventry 6-Month Rolling Contract Defence Vehicle Programme

Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Coachbuilder, HGV Technician, or Military Vehicle Mechanic looking for your next contract opportunity?

We are recruiting for a leading defence engineering manufacturer in Coventry, supporting the build, repair, refurbishment, and modification of specialist military vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in vehicle maintenance, repair, coachbuilding, body assembly, or mechanical installation who want to work on high-profile defence projects.

The Role

Working as part of a skilled production and refurbishment team, you will be involved in the assembly, repair, upgrade, and integration of components and systems onto military vehicles. You will use your practical vehicle knowledge to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical fitting, assembly, repair, and refurbishment activities on military vehicles.
  • Remove, replace, and install vehicle components, equipment, and assemblies.
  • Conduct visual inspections of parts and identify defects prior to installation.
  • Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Prepare vehicles and internal structures using hand-held tools, including grinding, sanding, and modification work.
  • Fit and integrate new systems, equipment, and vehicle components.
  • Support sub-assembly and production line activities to meet delivery targets.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship throughout all tasks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
