Join a specialist engineering business working on bespoke HVAC solutions across Vehicle, Marine and Defence applications, with no two projects quite the same. Combine hands-on vehicle HVAC installation, commissioning and repair with an applications engineering role, providing technical advice and developing solutions for challenging customer requirements. Work closely with the Sales team, using your technical expertise to support bespoke applications, system selection and customer proposals, while developing your commercial and engineering knowledge.
About the Role
We are looking for a qualified engineer with proven vehicle HVAC experience, particularly in the installation, commissioning, fault finding and repair of vehicle-based air conditioning systems.

The role is varied and combines practical engineering with customer-facing applications support. You will work directly on HVAC systems while also supporting Sales with technical advice, assessing customer requirements and helping develop the right solution for each application.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, diagnose and repair vehicle HVAC systems.
- Provide technical and applications support to the Sales team.
- Assess bespoke customer requirements and recommend appropriate HVAC solutions.
- Support system design, equipment selection and technical proposals.
- Attend customer sites across the UK to survey, troubleshoot and support projects.
- Work with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver effective solutions.

About You
- Qualified engineer with demonstrable vehicle HVAC installation and repair experience.
- Strong practical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with vehicle-based air conditioning/HVAC systems.
- Confident communicating technical information to customers and colleagues.
- Able to work independently, take ownership of projects and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
Location
Predominantly field-based, with regular attendance at the Dorset HQ. Ideally located within approximately 80 miles of the site.
Salary
Around £45,000 depending on experience, plus company vehicle, bonus and benefits.
