Vehicle Image Damage Assessor

If you know your way around vehicle damage, repairs, estimating, and valuations, this could be your next opportunity.

As a Vehicle Image Damage Assessor at Copart, you’ll use your industry knowledge and technical expertise to assess damaged vehicles from images and information, preparing accurate engineer’s reports for insurance companies.

You’ll be making informed decisions about damage, repair requirements, vehicle values, and salvage categories — so your eye for detail and understanding of vehicles really matters.

You’ll work from home, with occasional travel to Copart Head Office in Wootton, Bedfordshire or one of our Operation Centres when required.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assessing vehicle damage using images, documentation, and available vehicle information.
  • Preparing accurate and detailed engineer’s reports for insurance companies.
  • Interpreting the extent of damage and understanding potential repair methods and consequences.
  • Researching vehicle values, considering mileage, condition, previous damage, HPI information, and other relevant factors.
  • Assigning salvage categories in line with the ABI Code of Practice and Copart guidelines.
  • Using estimating and valuation systems to support accurate assessments.
  • Reviewing and amending vehicle information and reports where necessary.
  • Working to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Keeping up to date with vehicle damage, repair methods, valuations, and relevant industry requirements.

You’ll receive full training on Copart’s internal systems and report-writing processes, so you can get up to speed with how we work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
