Job Title: Vehicle Parts Manager (Originally listed as "Bodyshop Parts Assistant") Department: Activate Accident Repair Reports to: Bodyshop Manager Hours: 45 hours Location: AAR Mildenhall, Plot 41, Hampstead Avenue, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7AS

We are looking for a Vehicle Parts Manager to join our state-of-the-art Activate Accident Repair Mildenhall Bodyshop!


Role Overview

You will be responsible for supporting the effective operation of the parts department. Excellent organisation and communication skills will help you to plan and coordinate vehicle parts to meet requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily parts co-ordination of both internal and stock delivered parts.
  • Update the parts ordering system.
  • Verify all parts delivered to the site by checking against the parts list for:
    • Accuracy of the order
    • Correct parts and quantities
    • Any accidental damage
    • Overall quality
  • Ensure all relevant documentation for your department is correctly completed and delivered to designated departments on time.
  • Conduct monthly stock checks, reconciling usage with suppliers' invoices.
  • Monitor and control resources within the parts department.
  • Adhere to internal procedures to achieve targets set by your line manager.
  • Notify the Workshop Controller and reception of any potential delay in parts orders.
  • Input all parts delivery information into the Management system, and pass through all paperwork to the accounts department.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, including via:
    • Telephone
    • Email
    • Face-to-face interactions
  • Flexibility in dealing with changes in demand, tasks, and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literate.
  • Proactive initiative with minimal management intervention for workload and customer management.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Full driving licence with the correct classification to carry out duties.
  • Logistics experience.
  • Experience in vehicle appraisal.
