What To Expect

As a Vehicle Readiness Specialist at Tesla, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and exceptional customer delivery experience. Your responsibilities will include vehicle preparation, inspections, detailed cleaning and polishing, effective parking management, and active collaboration with your team to enhance pre-delivery processes. You will ensure that every customer vehicle is meticulously prepared, detailed to a world-class standard, and ready for delivery.

You are part of a larger sales, service, and delivery team who works closely and flexibly on all operations. You are expected to cooperate frequently and display a one-team mentality to achieve sales and delivery targets. This role may require travel between sites and locations to support operational needs.

To succeed at Tesla, you must be energetic, highly organised, and hard-working, with a passion for the brand and the ability to create exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Perform vehicle detailing across the full range of Tesla vehicles, including wet sand, polish, buffing, wax, and related techniques
  • Utilise a variety of hand and power tools to complete detailing and preparation work effectively
  • Clean vehicles in compliance with Tesla’s standards before delivery, and apply protective finishes to vehicle exteriors
  • Operate equipment such as buffers, hoses, vacuums, and similar tools to perform detailed cleaning and polishing
  • Perform technical inspections on vehicles prior to delivery, including checking for warning lights, interior condition, tyre tread depth, and standard equipment
  • Support Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) operations with vehicle inspections, on-site movements, photography, and preparing vehicles for display or transport
  • Use Tesla proprietary software to log vehicle condition and ensure paperwork is submitted correctly
  • Ensure vehicles are delivery-ready: licence plate holders attached, customer accessories installed, plastic removed, etc.
  • Manage vehicle arrivals and inventory across multiple locations, and safely move and charge vehicles as part of the pre-delivery process
  • Prepare vehicles for onward transport as required, ensuring keys and documents are ready
  • Maintain job equipment through regular inspections, adjustments, and certifications where necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment, including moving vehicles when necessary
  • Effectively prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional quality
  • Collaborate with your direct team, management, and wider teams (including delivery, service, and used-car operations) and always going above and beyond to deliver a world-class experience
  • Travel between sites as required to support vehicle readiness and delivery operations
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support business operations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
