Vehicle & Specialist Applications Sales Executive
Job Description:
Are you technically minded with a passion for vehicles and specialist applications? We are looking for someone who wants to build a career in technical sales, helping customers identify the right power and climate control solutions for their individual requirements. Our product portfolio includes some of the industry’s leading brands covering areas such as generators, air-conditioning, power electronics and associated systems, supplied into a wide range of specialist vehicles and mobile applications.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in vehicle onboard systems, engineering, or specialist applications, with the ability to understand customer requirements and develop practical, tailored solutions. Hands-on experience with vehicles, electrical systems, engineering, or a related technical environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with enthusiasm, drive, and a positive problem-solving approach who wants to develop their career in a technical sales environment. The successful candidate will initially work alongside our experienced sales team, gaining product and industry knowledge before taking increasing responsibility for the Vehicle & Specialist Applications sector.
Full product training will be provided, although a basic technical understanding is required.

Location:
Remote-based, with required weekly visits to company HQ in Verwood, Dorset
The Role
- Provide sales support to new and existing customers and develop strong customer relationships.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Manage the sales process from lead generation through to closing.
- Generate new business through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and lead follow-up.
- Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and tenders.
- Work with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams to develop bespoke solutions.
- Conduct customer meetings, product demonstrations, and technical discussions.
- Manage the sales pipeline, achieve targets, and identify upselling opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide sales forecasts and reports to the Company Sales Director.
- Attend customer visits, industry events, and trade exhibitions.
- Keep up to date with products, applications, competitors, and developments within the specialist vehicle market.
- UK-wide travel is required, including overnight stays.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous sales experience, ideally within technical, B2B, engineering, or related sectors.
- An interest in vehicles, engineering, electrical systems, or specialist applications.
- The ability to understand customer challenges and develop practical, creative solutions.
- A consultative approach to sales, focused on understanding customer needs and recommending the right solution.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence dealing with customers, engineers, procurement teams, and senior decision-makers.
- Commercial awareness, including pricing, margins, sales targets, and converting opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- A self-motivated, target-driven, and positive approach.
- Good computer skills and confidence using CRM and Microsoft Office.
- A willingness to learn and develop technical product and industry knowledge.
- Located within 60-90 mins drive from HQ is an advantage.
