Red Bull Technology Student Placement
Red Bull Technology have exciting opportunities for undergraduate students to spend a year as part of our F1 Vehicle Suspension Design team. The placements will run from summer of 2026 for one year and offer the opportunity to demonstrate your enthusiasm and apply your knowledge in an open and dynamic environment.
Location
Based on our Milton Keynes campus, this Vehicle Suspension Design placement opportunity will allow the successful candidate to develop skills in problem solving, creativity, teamwork, planning, innovation and communication whilst performing the following tasks:
- Designing and draughting of suspension and driver controls components and any associated tooling or pit gear as directed.
- Developing proficiency in specialist areas of CAD design, CAD draughting, engineering calculations, fault diagnosis and fixing, elementary stress analysis, elementary vehicle dynamics.
- The preparation of technical documentation for the circuit.
- Developing problem solving and communication skills through working closely with Designers, Aerodynamicists, Vehicle Dynamicists, Race Engineering, Mechanics, Manufacturing and technical specialists from throughout the organisation.
- Following best practice as defined by the design manual for all activities. Occasional travel on company business as requested.

The Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate
- An understanding of vehicle suspension, driver controls and braking systems.
- An understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and calculation.
- A good understanding of a 3D CAD system and willingness to learn a new package.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Initiative and willingness to learn and contribute to the Red Bull Formula 1 programme.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this placement applicants must be returning to higher education to study for at least 1 year after their placement year. Confirmation of this should be in place at time of application. While we would like to open this opportunity up to all applicants these positions are intended to be a work placement for students currently undertaking higher education and is therefore the eligibility requirement.

Applicants demonstrating the necessary skills and experience will be invited to undertake a technical exam followed by an online interview for the final short-listed candidates.
