Vehicle Technician Borehamwood
We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician, or Mechanic to join a busy fleet workshop in Borehamwood. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have strong servicing and repair experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence, and have the right to work in the UK. LCV experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Job Details
- Location: Borehamwood
- Salary: £39,729 basic
- OTE: £45,729 including bonus and overtime
- Hours: 42.5 hours per week, day shifts only
- Overtime: Regularly available, paid at time and a half

Vehicle Technician Role
- Service, maintain, and repair a varied fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
- Carry out vehicle inspections and MOT preparation work
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently
- Ensure vehicles remain safe, roadworthy, and legally compliant
- Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
- Maintain high repair standards while minimizing vehicle downtime
Vehicle Technician Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent essential
- Previous Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, or Mechanic experience
- Strong servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repair skills
- Diagnostic and electrical fault-finding experience
- LCV or van experience advantageous but not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
- Looking for a stable, long-term position with ongoing technical development
- Right to work in the UK

This is a fleet-based position without retail sales targets or customer-facing pressure, offering day shifts and extensive technical development through an IMI-accredited training centre. Training includes Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, tail lifts, braking systems, and vehicle electrics.
