Vehicle Technician

Location: Croydon

Salary: £40,000 Basic + Bonus

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on a rota basis. When you work a Saturday, you'll receive a day off during the week.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a long-established independent garage in the Croydon area. Our client has built an outstanding reputation over almost 40 years by providing honest, professional automotive services and exceptional customer care. Vehicle Technician Role

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements.
  • Carry out MOT preparation and repair work.
  • Complete job cards accurately and maintain detailed workshop records.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
  • Work collaboratively within a busy workshop while maintaining excellent productivity and quality standards.

Vehicle Technician Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic is essential.
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent) is preferred; however, experienced technicians without formal qualifications are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • MOT Tester Licence is advantageous but not essential, with full training available for the right candidate.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
