Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Job Overview
Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role with a Level 3 qualification, or Level 2 Technician / Mechanic with 3 years experience, for the UK's leading vehicle rental specialists, working on a wide range of vehicles. Great salary, benefits, overtime, and bonus opportunities.
Location: Huntingdon
Pay / salary: up to £37,639 basic per annum plus bonus and overtime, OTE £43,516
Job type: Permanent / full-time role
Shift and schedule: 42.5 hours per week
Requirements
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Full UK driving license

Company
You would be working for one of the UK's leading vehicle rental specialists. 60 branches cover the UK, Ireland, and Spain, and the workshops maintain and repair their own fleet. Within the UK, they operate circa 49,000 vans and 19,000 cars.
Skills and Experience
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent; alternatively, Level 2 Technician/Mechanic qualification with at least 3 years experience
- Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties
Job Responsibilities
Your primary duty is to maintain, service, and repair a diverse fleet of rental cars and vans directly at customer sites or roadside locations. You will act as a standalone mechanic, operating out of a fully equipped company support vehicle to keep business clients mobile.

The fleet consists of around 75% Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) and 25% cars, giving you great variety and the chance to enhance your skills across different vehicle types. Working on diagnostics, electrics, braking systems, clutches, and gearboxes.
