Job Title: Vehicle Technician

6-Month Contract (Potential for extension)

Working Hours

Mon–Thu 7:30 AM–4:30 PM | Fri 7:30 AM–1:00 PM possible overtime available

Pay & Package

£19.00/hr base rate | Paid Weekly

Expenses & Perks

  • £25.00/day living allowance
  • Fully paid hotel (Sun check-in – Fri check-out)*
  • Mileage allowance at 45p/mile (up to 250 miles/wk)*

*Hotel and mileage allowance are dependent on candidate location.

Join E-ppl as a Vehicle Technician in Leconfield

E-ppl Ltd is hiring dedicated Vehicle Technicians to deliver a critical fleet maintenance project at our Leconfield site. Working within a skilled, supportive team, you will ensure the operational readiness, safety, and regulatory compliance of Stored and Sustainment Fleet platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspection & Servicing: Execute diagnostic inspections, routine servicing, and repairs across designated fleet platforms.
  • Rectification & Prep: Complete follow-on maintenance to ensure full safety and compliance ahead of Mandatory Equipment Inspections.
  • Fleet Upgrades & Reworks: Upgrade vehicles to operational standards and resolve defects identified during quality examinations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to site Health & Safety policies at all times.

Location & Commute

Conveniently located at Normandy Barracks in Leconfield (HU17 7LX), just off the A164 north of Beverley. Ideal for lodge-based contractors or commutable candidates from Hull, Beverley, Driffield, Bridlington, York, and the wider East Riding/Yorkshire region.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 IMI, NVQ, City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Experience

  • Proven track record as a Vehicle Technician (military, commercial, or fleet background strongly preferred).

Skills

  • Strong diagnostic capabilities and familiarity with fleet asset tracking.

Security Clearance

  • Eligible for BPSS clearance (sponsored and managed entirely by E-ppl).

Equipment

  • Standard coveralls and safety footwear (all mechanical tools provided).

  • Fully paid hotel (Sunday night through Friday checkout) and mileage expenses provided (subject to candidate location).

Generous Daily Allowance

  • £25.00/day living allowance plus up to 250 miles/week reimbursed at 45p/mile where eligible.
