Vehicle Technician
Location: Derby
Salary: Competitive (dependent on qualifications & experience)
Sign-on Bonus: £1,500
Hours: Monday-Friday (no weekends)
We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a busy Derby workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys variety, takes pride in high-quality work, and wants a clear development pathway with structured training and progression up to Master Technician level.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a mixed rental fleet
- Inspect systems and components to ensure safety and compliance
- Identify worn or faulty parts and complete repairs or replacements
- Test drive vehicles where permitted and licence allows
- Maintain accurate job cards and update internal systems throughout the day
- Complete jobs in full or hand over correctly, ensuring vehicles are left safe and clearly marked
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Experience working with LCVs or HGVs
- Full UK / Irish / EU manual driving licence
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
Training & Development
- Structured progression route to Master Technician
- Ongoing technical training and support
- Long-term stability within a professional workshop environment
