Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role for a Level 3 qualified Technician to join a busy main dealership in Maidstone, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs. Excellent basic salary, bonus potential, manufacturer training and Hybrid & Electric Vehicle accreditation available.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.
- Location: Maidstone
- Salary: £37,000 basic per annum plus bonus, OTE £43,000+
- Job type: Permanent / full-time role
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am 12:30pm

- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent IMI / City & Guilds qualification.
- Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Service Technician.
- Experience gained within a main dealership or independent garage environment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to complete servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard.
- Previous manufacturer-specific experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Full UK driving licence.
Vehicle Technician Job role:
- Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer standards.
- Perform comprehensive vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical vehicle faults.
- Complete authorised mechanical repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
- Carry out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Road test vehicles following repairs to ensure faults have been successfully rectified.
- Complete job cards, technical write-ups and other workshop documentation accurately.
- Work effectively with the wider Aftersales and workshop team to maintain productivity.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
