MOT Technician
Location: Aylesbury, HP22
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £37,000 basic salary and OTE £44,320
Hours: 40 hours, Monday–Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am – 12:30pm
We are recruiting for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy and professional workshop in Buckinghamshire. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality servicing, repairs, and vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology.
You will report to the Aftersales Manager, who will provide ongoing support and ensure you have the tools and training needed to succeed. Excellent career progression opportunities are available, including manufacturer-accredited training and Hybrid & Electric vehicle development.

Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
- Perform checks in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Fit additional accessories as requested
- Conduct vehicle health checks and report additional work required
- Inspect lights, tyre pressures, and mechanical/electrical components
- Complete minor and major repairs on vehicles
- Carry out basic diagnostics (mechanical and electrical)
- Perform vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer and customer requirements
- Complete authorised repair work to a high standard
- Carry out warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines, ensuring accurate write-ups
- Road test vehicles to confirm faults are resolved
- Complete all job cards and paperwork accurately

Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous motor industry experience (dealer or independent)
Desirable (not essential):
- Diagnostic experience
- MOT licence
- Hybrid / Electric vehicle knowledge
You will be self-motivated, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.

Requirements
