MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician Tonbridge
We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, or Mechanic to join a busy dealership workshop in Tonbridge. Applicants must hold a current MOT Testing Licence, a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, a Full UK Driving Licence, and have the right to work in the UK.
Job Details:
- Location: Tonbridge
- Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 basic depending on qualifications + bonus
- OTE: £41,000+
- Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, plus Saturday mornings 8:30am - 12:30pm on a rota

Vehicle Technician Role
- Carry out MOT testing alongside servicing and mechanical repair work
- Complete pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
- Carry out vehicle health checks and identify additional work
- Complete servicing and maintenance to required standards
- Diagnose and complete minor mechanical and electrical repairs
- Fit vehicle accessories when required
- Road test vehicles following repairs and complete relevant workshop documentation

Vehicle Technician Requirements
- Current MOT Testing Licence essential
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent essential
- Previous Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester, Automotive Technician, or Mechanic experience
- Strong hands-on servicing, inspection, and repair skills
- Dealership or independent garage experience considered
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Full and valid UK Driving Licence essential
- Right to work in the UK
